Bruised Monday?

Today is the actual black/blue monday, the purported saddest day of the year. As Motherboard has nicely detailed on their website there is scant basis for such a claim other than dubious marketing ploys.
However, I would wager that this concept of the saddest day of the year would provide an interesting study in the contagion of affect. Something along the lines of how labelling the date as such has no doubt had the air of a self fulfilling prophecy about it.
Wouldn’t it be interesting if Moodscope made their data publicly open? Would we see a spike in all those who have a higher proclitivity to low moods on account of the oppressive atmosphere generated by the expectations of this data?
