New Computational Divination Instrument

New glass tea cup arrived so that the computer vision element of the tasseomancy can be maintained in a manner more authentic to the practice I’m aping.

The tea leaves cloy pleasingly to the sides of the rims so thats good news. As before the view from below the tea cup is actually only interesting for the duration of the tea drinking. Once the leaves settle the vision is more often than not completely occluded. And this does make me wonder whether the way I’m approaching the leaf reading is the right manner. As the video analysed will not reflect the final sedimentation of tea leaves as witnessed by the human eye. But it offers a means to analyse the process during which presumably the diviner is opening themselves to subconscious inscription. Certainly food for thought
